DO I NEED TO BRING MY OWN GEAR?
If you have your own gear that you want to use that is totally fine! Please just let your guide know so that they can help you determine if using your own gear is going to set you up for the highest likelihood of success! If you do not have your own gear, all of our guides have everything you need to catch the fish of a lifetime!
CAN I CHOOSE WHERE WE FISH?
Where you fish is based on where you want to fish, current CDFW regulations, and your guide's experience! All of our guides are on the water more days in a year than not, so they know where the fishing is good, and where it is not! In your communications with your guide you can discuss where you want to fish, and if possible, that is where you will fish!
DO I NEED A CALIFORNIA FISHING LICENSE?
Yes. While fishing with Clearwater Fly Guides, we will follow all CAFW fishing regulations. That means that a current California Fishing License is required. In certain situations a harvest card might be required. If anything other than a standard fishing license is required your guide will let you know well before your trip!
